Ahhh, internet connection. Comparing Sydney and Melbourne, an hour from Sydney you're at my house. An hour from Melbourne all you can see in scenery, and then BANG, peak hour traffic... Going into the city?

Because I'm loving this lj app and all it's capabilities, I'm just going to post some pictures of NSW & VIC countryside. Basically, in a day we've driven from North Carolina to the bottom of South. Perhaps a little more.

And now we're just searching for an interstate radio station. Popular demand bypassed Jason Mraz, Death Cab For Cutie & has settled on Justin Timberlake. And now, more peak hour.

Did I mention I love this app?

So.

I logged in to LJ today, and I found out from reading [info]nina_myers24 's LJ that there's a remake of Death At A Funeral coming out next year. This is unacceptable. Death at a Funeral is hands down one of FUNNIEST and most hilarious movies I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. It's definitely one of my top five favorites all around. It's just British comedy at its best, I feel. And after seeing this "remake" which is really the same movie [including plot, lines, and in one case, actor] but with American actors, I feel....disgusted with Hollywood.

Last year they remade the awesome [REC] [a Spanish zombie movie] which was quite honestly one of the best zombie movies I've ever seen. And then not even a year later it was remade into this crap called Quarantine. WTF Hollywood?! Are you that money hungry? Let someone else share the fame and glory.

I'm so sick and tired of Hollywood insulting my intelligence. If I want to see foreign films and get a kick out of them, I don't need you remaking them for me - the original is always good enough. I dare say, that if Hot Fuzz gets a remake someone is going to get their head "blown up."

Do yourself a favor, f-list. See the original movie [click here for the Apple Trailer]. It'll totally be worth your time. Trust me.

As for me, I'm boycotting the "remake" 'cause WTF?!

So I'm off to shop for clothes to wear. As Jason said last night, if Getty needs a personal shopper, I'm so there! I needed new athletic clothes anyway, so this is an exciting convenience. Plus, I'm being paid and it would have eventually gone on it anyway! Last week's paycheck went on Brooks Adrenaline sneakers that were on special at $180 which was so well planned.

I didn't get off MSN until 2, because I was speaking to Jason. I felt a little bad because he had to get up at six & I was free to lounge around, but hey, he kept talking. It was a really fun, intelligent conversation, which is a nice change from a lot of conversations I have with guys. Plus, we both openly said we like being single & then started to discuss the merits of porn. No, seriously. It was hilarious in a completely detached, analytical manner.

So congratulations Stephanie for being friends with a boy who doesn't want to secretly sleep with you! It sounds like i'm a ridiculous drama queen and terribly conceited, but I'm aware of how horribly flippant I am, and it's not something I'm proud of when it comes to my relationships with guys.

But yes, elaborating on where I am, I'm sitting in a two-seated on the train next to someone, and there's a free seat in front of me. I'm not annoyed by it because it's a fine temperature and he's not squishing me, but I think someone should write a piece on train ettiquette or something.

And just because I can, a photo for you:

I only wish I knew how to shrink them. Hmm.

How cool is this?! There's no friends list, but posting is definitely easier.

Obviously I fixed my iPhone by syncing it, but still, I was a little afraid my $1,000 odd dollar phone was greviously wounded and I would have to foot the bill. I tried going back to a normal phone yesterday and it took forever to write what usually takes about 20 seconds.

I didn't participate in this fic exchange but I've been sort of following it. Anyway, I read this lovely Harry/Hermione fic that's a bit smutty but most definitely in character and overall well written! My only nitpick is that Harry comes off as super powerful. >.> -cough- Anyway! Lovely piece of work. Read it and leave a comment if you have a moment to spare.
